Moore's a Douche? No Way!

Michael Moore, a mass of contradictions: Against capitalist forces, unless, of course, they stand to benefit him. On Monday, Moore filed a lawsuit against Harvey and Bob Weinstein for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and fraud related to his documentary Farenheit 9/11. Moore is asking for $2.7 million for "unpaid profits"—on top of the $19.8 million he's already been paid for the film.

The Weinsteins are calling the case a "standard accounting dispute," and offered to take the case into mediation, but Moore rejected the offer. "He redefines the term greedy for someone in this business who claims to be a Mr. Poverty indie documentary filmmaker," said an insider close to the case. Ironically, his work with the Weinsteins—including Capitalism: A Love Story—has netted him more than $48 million.
